Inaugural of Dharma Wanita Persatuan BNPB board today, Wednesday (18/09) was held in Jakarta. This inauguration ceremony was attended by the Chairman of the Dharma Wanita Persatuan Pusat, Ny. Nila F. Moeloek, Coordinator of Healthy Indonesia – Ibu Hendarman Supanji along with the wives of Indonesia Bersatu Cabinet (SIKIB), Head of BNPB, and Senior Executives in BNPB and BPBDs of all provinces in Indonesia.
As the Advisor of Dharma Wanita Persatuan BNPB, Mrs. Nani Syamsul Maarif, in her speech thanked the various stakeholders for their support for the growth and development of this organization, and is expected to provide encouragement and positive influence on the improvement BNPB performances. Despite its young age, Dharma Wanita BNPB has contributed actively in social activities to help humanitarian tasks, such as providing assistance to the victims of Merapi volcano, Aceh and West Sumatra earthquake, and Borneo fire. She advised that Dharma Wanita can undertake appropriate organizational norms in force, carry out the work with sincere and happiness. As an advisor, Mrs Nani also recommends that the women in BNPB Dharma Wanita could be smart mothers to arrange their time as a good wives and mothers as well as officials of Dharma Wanita, and also concerned about the environment and the organization as well as providing support to their husband in order to carry out humanity responsibility/tasks which is full of risks. In the end of her speech, Mrs. Nani expressed readiness to support the Indonesia healthy and helping disaster management in the region.
In this inaugural event, Mrs. Nila F. Moeloek as Chairwoman of Dharma Wanita Persatuan Pusat congratulate on the formation of Dharma Wanita Persatuan BNPB. In her speech, she stated that the general challenges faced in the affected areas are transportation constraints, infrastructure, clean water and healthcare. In the past decade, the Indonesia population is too big, and most education levels remain at a basic level. We want to be a smart nation. For that, of course, needs to be supported by economic factors, environment, education and adequate health care. There are three pillars of sustainable development, namely economic prosperity, environmental protection and social justice.
In order to improve the human development index, Dharma Wanita Persatuan perform a variety of activities including a program of restructuring society through education and access to clean water, women knowledgeable, lightening archipelago (tree planting), a partnership-based community movement, and the use of social media such as disseminating information weather forecasting, early warning and disaster alert on various social media and websites. At the end of her speech, she encouraged us all to keep environmental friendly, clean and healthy living behavior.
