HIGH ENTHUSIASM VISITORS TOWARDS DISASTER EXHIBITION

Disaster exhibition that took place (2/10) at GOR Tawang Alun, Banyuwangi was crowded by visitors. The exhibition stand that was packed with visitors was the stand of the National Agency for Disaster Management (BNPB) which displays BNPB GEMA magazine, Baseline Indonesian Volcanoes, Documentation Activities in 2011 and 2012, the Indonesian Disaster Data 2010 and 2011, 5 Year of BNPB, Indonesia Disaster Risk Atlas Map Year 2012, disaster leaflets such as, landslide alert, fire alert, Geospasi Informatics, Earthquake, Indonesian Disaster Data and Information and Disaster Posters like, fires , tsunami alert , wary Floods , Volcanic Activity Film Documentation and Disaster, Message From The Ocean, Volcano Disaster, and a few souvenirs.

One of SMK 1 Glagah student, Wardhana said, the exhibition disaster has really helped us in increasing knowledge about the disaster as a reference in disaster management in schools which was still low. One of the visitors, Ika Budi from BPBD Situbondo, said “disaster management requires intensive treatment, with this exhibition, we can find out the participation and coordination between relevant agencies of disaster management.”

The exhibition was joined by the relevant agencies of Ministry/Agency, Private Sector (PLN, Artha Graha Care, Garuda Indonesia, Sampoerna Rescue, Sinarmas Group, MNC Group, PT. Telkom, and Alfa Mart), BPBDs (Province/District), related provincial level, Banyuwangi district (BPBDs, related local government offices, Cooperatives and SMEs, Private Social Organizations (KRI, HFI, Scouts, Red Cross, Jangkar Kelud, Kobar Semeru). Items to display were disaster equipments, disaster management vehicles, disaster books, local superior products and local handicrafts. (Rsp)
