National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB) hold SRC PB West region Capacity Development Training Field and Unit Level in 2013. Field level exercise was conducted on October 6th until 11th, while the unit level training on October 11th until the 13th, located at the Gumati Village Hotel, Bogor and Peacekeeping Mission Center (PMPP) in Sentul Bogor, West Java.
The training was officially opened by the Disaster Management Rapid Response Force Commander (SRC PB) Lt. Col. Inf. Widjanarko. In his speech, “to improve and maintain the knowledge and skills of SRC PB personnel, regular and continuous founding needs to be done. The training is carried out systemically ranging from education and training to increase the basic personal skills, specifically the ability of each team, section and unit level field. The training was conducted by using experienced instructors in the field of disaster management, which is expected to form the core team which has the professional standards in disaster management. Closing the discussion, PB SRC is expected to have a measurable standard of competence and tested.”
The number of participants take part in the capacity development exercise totaled of 65 people from several institutions related with disaster management, namely the Ministry of Public Works, the National SAR Agency, Geospatial Information Agency, Directorate General of the Ministry of Social Protection and Social Security, Directorate General of Post and Resource Tools Telecommunications, Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, Health Crisis Response Center, Ministry of Health, Red Cross Indonesia, the Indonesian Armed Forces (TNI) and BNPB.
